PROTECTED ISLAND

Holbox is part of the Yum Balam Protected Natural Area, home to mangroves, migratory birds, and unique biodiversity.

GIANTS OF THE SEA

From June to September, Holbox welcomes the whale shark, the world's largest fish, in a peaceful dance in the open sea.

A PLACE WITHOUT HURRY

There are no cars or traffic lights. Just sandy roads, golf carts, and slow steps between murals and sky.

In Holbox, legends aren't told... they're felt when night falls.

It is said that the spirit of Xtabay lives in the mangroves, a woman who protects the jungle and enchants those who disrespect nature. Others speak of mysterious lights above the sea, ancient souls navigating among stars and bioluminescence. Here, every corner holds a whisper, every wave holds a story that only the wind remembers. The legends of Holbox are part of its soul: alive, silent, and magical.
